9 years of playing Warhammer 40k, and now i am here. I heard this is one of the biggest Warhammer forums there is, so i am eager to see what happens around here!

I am 25 years old. A friend of mine ignited my fire for commanding armies and collecting cool looking models. My first army were Space Marines (really now, who DID NOT start with marines? ) . I decided for Blood Angels since i really like red. My first mins looked awful though, they were borrowed, overpainted a couple of times and i used some strange colors, oily gak which destroyed brushes in 2 minutes...wish i would have had a GW near my city then. ^^
Some years ago i was forced to take a break, but for half a year now i am BACK. Not into playing though, i need to find anybody to play with first, but well, thats another story.

I still got those marines, and well, i was amazed by the new minis GW made in the last couple of years, so i started painting - this time with better colors. I painted a sanguinary guard, the sanguinor, and astorath, and right now i am painting some dark angels nemesis knights in my armies color scheme to use them as melee terminators.
Between all this i thought about another army. Having two armies would be nice to play against a friend who never got in touch with the hobby, and so i started a tyranid army. I painted a winged hive tyrant, a carnifex, zoantrophe, 8 genestealers, a genestealer-boss (whats the name in english?^^) and tyranid warriors. Now there are 48 gaunts left *shudder* Grunt models are a bit of PITA.


But oh well, you see, i am on fire again. Thing is, i could do better but dont know how to improve on my own. So, one of my reasons for joining here was posting pics and getting tips on how to improve, as well as looking at some beautiful mins on the way :> So, where should i start?

Check out the painting and modeling showcase to show off your own miniatures, as long as they are 100% complete and based, you can get some feedback there, or if your models are not complete or want to get some feedback on something that is a wip check out the painting and modeling section.
