Need help painting ice-world tiles for campaign

My gaming club is running the Crusade of Fire campaign. Our Planetary Empire tiles are ready to roll, and we distributed them among the players to paint. I have been tasked with painting the 12 tiles that make up the ice-world of Alfrost.

I am currently planning on priming the tiles with spray white, then coating with Fenrisian Grey, then drybrushing with Skull White.

However, I am super open to suggestions from the way-the-heck-more-talented-than-I community on how I can make these tiles look really good.

How would you guys go about painting an Ice-world?

I would dry-brush some areas dark and medium grey, and other areas medium and light grey, to give an effect of different types of bare rock. Then dry-brush white on top.

Make the flat marsh areas pale blue to represent frozen lakes, with white edges.

I agree, give it some color depth but I'd make sure to keep it fairly blended, or at least not splotchy. In addition to the Fenrisian Grey and Skull White, and various shades of grey, take into account the color temperature of the grey. Fenrisian Grey is very very cold, really more of a blue. For true greys, I'd stick with truly neutral greys on up to cold Fenrisian Grey. Just make sure you don't use much, if any, warmer greys. I don't know exactly what you're going for, but if there is any vegetation, I wouldn't make it too vibrant, keep it pale greens, and golden colors mostly.
