However if you do roll 2 6's the extra 2D3 extra is utterly useless, as you will already have scored at least a 17 for your armor Pen roll. (Str3 for the Sniper rifle, 6+6+1+1 two 6's and at least 2 1's= a total armor pen roll of 17 before the 2D3 are rolled).

No they are not, unless they are rolling to wound.

They are not AP2 when rolling to pen.

Against non-vehicles rending adds AP2 on a 6. Against vehicles it adds a D3 on a 6. Q:When firing a turbo-penetrator round at a vehicle , do you add
D3 to the total for each 6 rolled on the 4 armour penetration dice?
