Can this be remedied by pinning? I have never really tried it before. All I know is you used a pin vise to drill a hole and stick in some wire (correct me if I'm wrong). What sort of wire do you use? Do you secure the wire with glue or green stuff?

There's probably your problem right there. Try a plastic glue like Testors or Revell instead. Necrons are a bit tricky because they have such tiny attachment points. If you can glue them before you paint them or clean the paint off before you glue them, that will make them a lot stronger. GW glue and you should be right. I preferred plastic glue for Necron warriors because I found it easier to use and the attachment points are tiny. Regarding pinning - I don't think it's necessary with plastic kits if you glue them, as above. I only pin my metal minis. If you ARE so inclined here's my two cents. I use a pin vice with a bit that will drill a hole that fits a large paper clip (or a piece thereof). Then I drill one side of the model at the joint I want to attach, fill it with super glue and insert the pin (always leave it longer than you need, at first). I then usually, depending on how intricate the model is, dab a bit of black paint (or just eyeball it) on the pin and press it against the other side of the model to line up where I need to drill the second hole (then drill said hole). After that I do a test fit and trim the pin, as needed, add glue to the second hole and insert the pin - if it's metal I add some green stuff around the pin so it forms a nice tight fit... That's the nickel tour. I'm sure you can find articles on pinning with more detail, if you're more curious.
