Painting white cloth.

My brother asked me to paint his AOBR marines and I'm on the captain. I want to paint the inside of the cloak and the tabard white as shown on the box but am unsure which path to take and was hoping for advice. All of it uses a Black undercoat.

1- Base Vallejo Neutral Grey, layer with 2-3 of GW Ulthuan Grey, wash with Nuln oil, relayer with 50/50 of Ulthuan and Skull white, final edge highlight of skull.

2- Base Calthan Brown, Layer with continous gradient mixes of Calthan and Bleached Bone, wah lightly Agrax earthshade, 3:1 Skull white to Bleached Bone, white edge highlight.

The second wopuld take much longer and be slightly cream coloured. The 1st may be slightly dark but that isn't a deal breaker either. Also note I have 2 purity seals on the cloak to paint. they will have Bleached Bone/Arax earthshaded parchment and red wax.

I only have the Citadel paints so I don't know what your equivalents would be but here's what I did:

1. Prime Black
2. Undercoat Zandri Dust.
3. Layer 50:50 Zandri and Screaming Skull
4. Wash with Agrax Earthenshade
5. Highlight Screaming Skull.
6. Highlight 50:50 Screaming Skull / White Scar
7. Highlight White Scar.

Here's how my biker and sarge turned out. Please note that I left too much of the undercoat showing in the deepest recesses. I need to go back up and touch these up to make the folds less sharp.
