Halfords Red Plastic Primer

A lot of my warmachine Khador models came today and I've got to pop into town, I've noticed tonnes of people use halfords grey and white for primers but has anyone here used the red?

The main question is how dark is the red? I've looked at the two army painter sprays but I'd have to wait until next week to get them delivered so if this is dark enough it'd be ideal to go pick up!

Anyone have any thoughts or pictures? If I didnt use red primer id go black and basecoat khorne red so I'm hoping this is similar or at least not really wub wub

Here are two test BA Marines I painted for my friend's army.

The left is straight up red spray with red wash to bring down the shine and black micro pen to do the panel lines.
The right is red spray, then a liberal black wash and then brought back up with the old Blood Red.

Here's Brother Corbulo and a Sanguinary Priest I painted using the black wash technique.

Halfords Red Plastic Primer

Hi, I've used Halford's red oxide.
Here's a couple of images (I don't seem to have any that have had some paint applied though):

Basically I just washed them with Dev Mud then used a very old blood red over.
Found it really easy to get a decent red at the end.
I definately recommend that you use it!
