Best way to attach a stand to a base

Hi I was wondering what type of glue or method is most appropriate to use for sticking my heldrake stand to the base. I have so far used thick super glue and it is holding ok but the stand doesn't sit flush to the base as about 30% is raised leaving a ml gap or so. I can envisage a bit of a knock and the stand coming away. Will I have to file it down more flat or is there something better to use than the stand provided.

When i did my StormRaven's i used sand paper to make sure the stand was completely Flat i then Sanded the contact area of the base where the stand would be glued this will give the glue a good point of contact and create a some what stronger bond between the to surfaces , Alternatively you could try Plastic cement but be careful and do not over apply it as it does literally melt the two together. you could also Drill a few 1/16th holes and use copper pin's but ive never done that with flyer stands and i'm not sure how it would looking being they are clear.

Re:Best way to attach a stand to a base

Depending on how large the gap is, I would suggest first superglue the stand to the base without the Helldrake present. This will simply hold it in place while you apply some more serious stick-'um. Second, apply a two part epoxy, found in most hardware stores. Next, if there's a significant gap to fill, apply greenstuff. Beyond pinning multiple surfaces, this should give you the toughest joint that I can come up with...

Good luck!
