Anyone know of an easy to follow dark grey/black paint scheme for Cadians?

I've been inspired to start painting a new army. Typically when I do this, I look up the heavy metal paint schemes or watch youtube videos from experts. But for the first time, I'd like to make something that I can't find anywhere, but very likely exists.

I'd like to make a Black and Grey themed cadian army that doesn't just look dark with no detail. I find that usually when I paint something black, I can't add enough highlights to make it shine. There may be some techniques I'm missing, but I am not able to do it with my current ability. What I'm thinking is something akin to the starship troopers look from the movie (not the book!)

Service guarantees citizenship!

I'm thinking the obvious is chaos black for the armor parts, and a grey/black mix for the pants?

Complete train of thought:

1. Prime black
2. Coat with second coat of black
3. Codex Grey mixed with Chaos Black for pants
4. Highlight code grey on pants and armor
5. Highlight lighter grey (maybe even white) on rest of the area
6. Gunmetal/easy mode colors on weapons

Here's somebody who did a nice job with the cloak, sort of like what I want to do for armor:

Anyway, I just wanted to get some advice and input. Ideas appreciated and sorry if this has been asked before!

Do you think that is just a mix of codex grey and black?

I can't remember sorry, it was with GW paints and I moved to Vallejo quite a while ago so the GW names elude me. Pretty sure it wasn't that involved though.

If your looking to do a Shiny Black...the citadel painting book has a good scheme in the back. I use it on the claws for my tyranids and i used it to do a Black Ops Chimera for a veretan squad for my Cadians, when I finish up, I'll post a few pics, but they are looking pretty good.
