If you're after opinions, I recommend CSMs - but only from an aesthetical perspective (and a personal one at that)!

I'm in West London, probably more interested in the actual model/race designs, painting and customizing than I am the actual rules of the game >.< (I hope that's not blasphemous!)

Heh heh - that's certainly not blasphemous; I fall well and truly into the model making/customising bracket and haven't picked up dice in anger for some time.
