Had mixed success with my traitor guard and chaos allies list so for the upcoming throne of skulls tournament at gw hq nottingham I have decided to take a Tau/Necron allies list. Points limit is 1500.

Idea is for pathfinders to make hammerheads and firewarriors lives easier until my flyers and battlesuit/drone squad turns up. My battlesuit commander joins to drone squad to give them all BS 5 and deepstrikes for a lovely little treat for any annoying enemy units, 24 str 5 BS 5 twinlinked pinning shots plus the flamer and launcher should pretty much bury anything. necron overlord goes objective capping while the cryptek goes tank hunting with his haywire wep, glancing landraiders to death ( necron overlord and cryptek both lead a immortal squad)

What do we think guys? solid or not? all criticism received gratefully

I know the cryptek is a vehicle killing monster, but in that list not sure you'll ever get to use him (because by the time the scythes come in you should already have put dents in most of the armor).

imho the overlord without the warscythe, mss and weave is going to get chewed in CC.

Also pathfinders are 11 points each whereas as marker drones are 14pts, plus you get the option of using their carbines if necessary.
