I really like the novels and the rich lore they bring with them as well as giving me a reason to spend my money on. Why World Eaters ? When i started playing Warhammer 40k me and my friend each looked at the different races and there it hit me. All i wanted was an army which were the counterpart to blood angels. The World Eaters led by Khan and supported by demons of the blood god. So years after short shooting phases and heavy close combat actions i desired to do something else, but i still wanted "bad" guys that loved to shed blood. Forge World had the perfect timing. When they released all the stuff i went ahead and bought the minis mentioned below but had no time till now to put them together and paint them. And that is where this bloq comes to play. Ill try to paint and post stuff each week so that this army gets going. Will also add more stuff to be painted like a contemptor or rampagers and destroyers and more assault/tactical marines and what else.

So far i have 30 Marines in Mk IV, 5 Terminators in Cataphracii Armor, 1 Praetor, 1 Scriptor, 1 Banner Bearer and 5 Mk II Assault Marines.


This would be my Assault Sergeant which a pair of Claws, who will come to lead a 10 man Assault Squad with 2 additional Power Weapons or at least I hope so.
Why does he has dreadlocks ? Because the Legion i was planning on doing is multi cultural, just like it is written in the book "Betrayer" which came out not so long ago.

He does not have a Name so far but he represents my Legion Praetor.

A side view to see his shoulder pad and power weapon. It is the Axe from the Red Scorpion Command Squad and he pad is made from Etched Brass.

The banner. It was to late to change his helmet by the time i started painting him and now he has a different helm from the rest of the command squad which is kind of frustrating.
But ill try to change the rest of the helmets of the command squad so that everyone has a unique helmet.

My Banner. Represents a world about to be devoured by some beast. And i am aware that this banner does not show the imperial eagle but his cousin the delicious imperial turkey.

He would be the first Sergeant of one of my tactical squads.

Since the power fist made the model look even more empty and all withe i went ahead and painted the World Eaters symbol over the whole arm.
Should look like it. If not ill just cough up some excuse for when i field him.

The next one in line to be completed. Assault Marine with Power Maul.

As well as 2 more with out and 1 more with a power sword and 3 tactical marines.

6 tactical marines just with a withe base coat and no pads or backpack since i base coat them black and not withe.

For my bases i used this material:

Cut them up with a knife or a pair of scissors and you can glue them on the base and finish up with sand or stone or grass, what ever you desire.
As for the sand i just used the Sand from GW which got a withe base coat followed by being brushed with Dryad Bark and Ushabti Bone with a finishing touch of Nuln Oil

which in my opinion left me with great results.
