Highlighting Shadow Grey >.> Halp

Halp.

I painted up a Riptide. Black coat, layered on some Shadow Grey (A darker blue) and have red decals.
I'm having trouble highlighting the colour though. The colours i have narrowed it down to are
-Ice Blue
-Hawk Turquoise
-Space Wolves Grey
The turqoise seems good, but a little to stand-outish... was just hoping for some words-in on the topic, and suggestions of combinations etc

Cheers.

My style would include an extreeme highlight on all of the edges afterwards, that makes them look more like games-workshop style miniatures. or go for a more realistic look just layering colors without edge highlights.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also you don't have to use the spacewolves grey, if you want a turquoise look you can highlight with that too. depends on what you like

both turquoise and space wolf grey are great choices and will both take you in oppisit directions as far as results

turq qill make it a blue'er look while
space wolf is more of a white/grey look

i would add a little white to ur first mixtuer for a seconed layer highlight but i am like that lol. good luck and you should post what you end up doing.

Re:Highlighting Shadow Grey >.> Halp

Don't ask me. I'm color blind. Kinda sucks because all my minis tend to stick to primary color base coats and I have to use a color wheel to shade them. I've tried going with some experimental color combinations which I thought looked great, but my friends are of the opinion "Well, the paint job is great...it's...uhh...kinda ....garish I think is the word I'm looking for..."

So I have to settle for cool conversions and mediocre paint schemes.
