I don't have a drill atm so I can't drill barrel, I also struggled with high lights and often put a much thicker line then intended.

I'm finding my yellow to highlights to be too obvious tho?

I start gw tausept ochre then vallejo gold yellow then moon yellow.
I'm struggling making it gradual.

Other than that it looks pretty good I like the checkers on the axe.

I think all the colours look pretty well blended and the crevices look suitably darkened and shaded.
