You could try and find the points to add in a decently sized unit of Swordmasters, in which to put your BSB and/or Arielle. -As mentioned lack of any heavy hitting CC units will hurt you in alot of your games. If you really want to stick with your Avelorn theme just convert up some female warriors with weapons (seen a cool one using Wood Elf figs and High Elf bits) and run them as White Lions, Sword Masters ect.

-Bolt throwers are a waste on the Skycutters IMO just because for that same point value you could get a lion chariot which is much nastier. Also in regards to statistics. Unless you just sit there they will need 4+ or 5+ to hit when you take into account moving and long range being anything over 12 inches. The bolt throwers are worth it if you're maxing out shooting. If you can force the enemy to move at you, the extra 3 bolt shots are nice.

The reaver bow + potion of strength is pretty brutal on a hand maiden. I'm testing it in my games at the moment and finding it quite nasty.

I also run a seahelm BSB + seahelm combat character + handmaiden. And I dont have the eagles or reavers, but I do have swordmasters. If thats the case taking regular bolt throwers are a much better investment. The thing is, it's not an either or choice. You take the 4 Repeating bolt throwers, and the bolt throwers on the chariots.
I'd bet you're only getting 2 shots before charging at the survivors of the gunline.
