GW has decided this Saturday will be the start of something called "Contest of Champions". The basic idea is over a 3 month period you start a new force to play in games (also getting points for painting). I'm guessing you all get the general idea. Now, the "ticket" is one HQ and a Troops choice. That's all I know for now.

I decided to go with Eldar as I've always liked the look of some Eldar armies and to be honest (while I love Dark Angels/Templars and GK), my space marine armies are all one and the same at the end of the day. For my HQ I'm pretty much decided on a Farseer with Singing Spear. However, for the troops I'm conflicted. I was so sure on Rangers (playing them as PF), but now I am wondering as I have read numerous articles bashing on them despite myself thinking them quite effective.

To be honest, I'm not "in it to win it", but I'd love to win more than I lose.

So, Any tips?

If you like Rangers, I have good news for you. It is reputed that Illic Nightbringer, a new character, is actually a Ranger HQ choice.
