Buy painted has a tutorial that gets you a decent airbrush setup for around 20 bucks utilizing a spare tire and ebay. you may check out his youtube channel.

getting a decent startup thats cheap and allows you to do decent work will help you when you look into getting better setups when your budget expands for it. (compressors can be really expensive unless you DIY)

This was my first purchase in an airbrush and i have since upgraded a little but was very happy with this kit.

Air brush purchase help.

I have not tryed it with any of the super premium airbrushes. But then thats because i would be payin more for just the bruush than i am for the full set up there. I later purchased (i think this is the model) a BD-208 from these guys. Its all metal so its weighted better in the hand and its a nice fine 0.2 (again dont quote me here, im on my phone so i cant get the links readily) thisbrush again cost less than 30 quid. When i get to my computer i will link a topic i made a few month ago about the joys of buying higher end brushes in the UK and the insane price mark ups we have nere.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here is a topic from feb this year, the topic title says it all "another Airbrush topic :( UK stockists and obscene prices"
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/510528.page

Automatically Appended Next Post:
also regarding the fitting, i never heard this but i also never researched it so i dont know either way sorry, i find it strange though that they would make the hose fitting so un-standarised that if it does not fit directly, there is not some hose some where that instead of being a straight A to A fitting would instead be an A to B or A to C fitting (A,B,C being random hose fittings)
