Dennis is building himself some Chaos Marines..

Hi all,

I'm quite new to the forum, and once in a while I lurk around, reading some threads and admiring some awesome conversions and paintjobs you guys and girls have been making over the years.

Recently I bought a CSM battleforce at a bargain and that got me started in modelling and assembling again after a slight pause of about... say, 10+ years, some small projects notwithstanding.

Seeing as the internet has evolved quite a bit since I started the hobby back in 1998, I find myself wanting to share pictures and perhaps discuss ways of doing things with others online. Also, feedback will probably keep me going strong and steady, as I tend to leave projects unfinished.

So here we are. I've already posted most of my pics on my facebook wich none of you have (most likely), so I'll be starting a sort of blog at this spot right here, describing my adventures in crafting, grafting, assembling, painting and perhaps even playing a CSM army of a yet undetermined size and strength.

Stick around for more soon (it's dinner time and my belly says I need to eat before I can do anything else..)

Automatically Appended Next Post:
As I said earlier, I've started a CSM army. I had some legion of the damned models laying around, and I'll be wanting to incorperate them in the warband. Since they were painted (poorly in fact), they had to be stripped.

I used the tried and true Dettol method, leaving my fingers dried out, and my mini's very clean indeed. I cheated a bit, since we have an ultrasonic cleaner where I work. I dunked the models in there after having them soak in Dettol for a while and the combination of 60 degrees celcius water, degreasing agent and ultrasonic vibrations worked a wonder.

Cleaned, sorted, disassembled and ready for their various slight conversions. Most likely they'll just get different shoulderpads and backpacks, since the main bodies of the mini's are metal, and I'm not inclined to start filing and milling too much.

PS: I'm linking these images straight out of facebook, if anyone has an idea how to crop them a bit, I'm keen to hear it.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
PPS: In my enthusiasm, I seem to have placed this thread in the wrong part of the forum. I'd appreciate it if one of the moderators could move it to the Dakka P&M Blogs section.....

Thanks in advance and my apologies for any inconvience..
