				<description><![CDATA[ Hi all, <br /> <br /> I am filling in at the last minute in a team tournament after someone's partner could not make it. My partner will be playing Orks and tends to bring alot of slow trudging Melee so my thought was to do something to tie up my opponents forces until he can arrive to supply the Waaagh! : I would like to get feed back with these rules in mind: 1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> MAX, 2 Troops Min Max 6, 1 Elite Max, 1 Fast Max, 1 Heavy Max, 1 Floater (Floater option is you as the player may select 1 elite, or 1 heavy or 1 Fast slot essentially doubling up on one of those choices) No allies in for your primary detachment (your ally is your teammate), Teams are considered Allies of convenience. Regardless of what the book says.<br /> <br /> First Thought looks like this:<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(524);'>GM</span> Mordrak - 200<br /> 5x Ghost Knights w/ Halberd - 200<br /> <br /> Troops<br /> 2x Grey Knight Strike Squad with Psybolt Ammo - 240<br /> <br /> Fast Attack<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GK</span> Interceptor Squad w/Halberds - 150<br /> <br /> Heavy Support<br /> Nemesis Dreadknight w/ Teleporter, Heavy Psycannon and Great Sword - 275<br /> Purgation Squad w/ 4x Psycannons - 180<br /> <br /> This comes out to 1245 points The thought is to Deepstrike Mordrak and the ghosts on turn 1 while also teleporting in the Interceptors and dreadknight while the Strike Squad moves with the Orks to provide cover fire / hold objectives and the Purgation squad tries to get a central point to focus on Vehicles.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ First thing, Grey Knights are not a close combat army. It may seem like it with their AP3 force weapons, but when it comes down to it they are a mid range shooty army. That being said let's look at what you have. <br /> <br /> <b>Mordrak:</b><br /> <br /> He's a good <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(524);'>GM</span> with a awesome special rule that could ruin some peoples day. But you won't be having many bodies teleporting in giving him support if your ally is planning on doing a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>. <br /> <br /> <b>Strike Squad:</b><br /> <br /> Really need to give these guys some psycannons. They are not a close combat unit with one attack base.<br /> <br /> <b>Interceptor:</b><br /> <br /> Same concept as the strike squad.<br /> <br /> <b>Dreadknight:</b><br /> <br /> Drop the psycannon and get the heavy incinerator. SO much better, you could drop the Great Sword for the psycannons.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I would take a generic Grand Master and give him Rad Grenades. Keep the Force Sword for the 3++ in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> just in case it happens. Try and soften up your targets so the Orks can finish them off.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Psyflemen are fantastic fire support. Especially if the enemy has vehicles, your Orks won't have a good way to crack them open at range.<br /> <br /> Consider taking a full 10 Interceptors with incinerators. Shunting into a unit and killing an entire squad (or driving them off the board) T1 is a good thing to do. You can keep Mordrak and the DKnight, and have three formidable units in the enemy's face T1.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yep, a combat squadded unit is still only 1 Troop choice.<br /> <br /> You could drop one Ghost and give another Knight to each Troop.<br /> <br /> Also, I'm not sure how you're getting 280 for the two <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(523);'>GKSS</span>, unless they have different # of models, or halberds, or something. 5 Knights + Psybolts + Psycan = 130*2 = 260.<br /> <br /> I usually only give my Justicar a halberd, because in challenges it's good to strike first. But 1 attack base at I6 for the other models isn't worth the points.<br /> <br /> Also, Psybolts don't really make up their cost unless they're in 10-man units. In this list, I'd take the extra model instead of Psybolts.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Unfortunately I do not own 30 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(333);'>PA</span> knights, but also I have played coteaz for most of my games I have played, usually with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(523);'>GKSS</span> and Purifiers ( granted at sub 1k points as I am just starting out )  and I just feel like I am missing something with him, sure the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>d6</span> attacks from the bird is nice but beyond that I just feel like it is more hype than substance.<br /> <br /> Here is a list of what I own:<br /> <br /> Dreadknight ( still in box, Assembling today or tomorrow ) <br /> 2x Terminator Boxes ( still in box, Assembling today or tomorrow ) <br /> 5x Grey Knight boxes ( 2 still in box, Assembling today or tomorrow ) <br /> Coteaz<br /> Sern -Usually use him to Proxy other <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Coteaz is the best <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> in the codex.  100 points gets you reroll missed hits and a random other buff.  I like the route you are taking with the strikes interceptors and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(514);'>DK</span> though.  All of my tournies at my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(211);'>LGS</span> are 1350 for singles.  I've been pretty successful with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GKs</span> at these points totals in a competitive scene.  I think you are on the right track, but I think you have to leave Mordrak and his Ghost Knight buddies on the sidelines.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ At lower point games Coteaz has worked really well for me, because the standard Divination power makes a big difference to the shooting power of the unit he gives it too (I tend to combat squad a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(523);'>GKSS</span> unit and put all the psycannons in 1 squad).  If you get the 4+ save as well, that's awesome.  <br /> <br /> Also, I play <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> a lot so IBEY is very useful,  however, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(274);'>YMMV</span>.<br /> <br /> I can see why you picked Mordrak now.<br /> <br /> Given you want to tie up units until the orks arrive, Draigo wing may be the way to go.  Only issue is I heard you need 1500 to make Draigowing work (but you may be ok as you are part of a team).<br /> <br /> Anyway, to keep with your plan (ie tie up until the orks arrive) I would suggest you find points to turn that interceptor unit into a full squad, because the shunt helps a lot.<br /> <br /> In your original list, what about swapping Coteaz in (to go with Purgation squad - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> Pyscannons <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(264);'>ftw</span>!) beefing up the Interceptor and using the balance of the points for Paladins? <br /> <br /> I'm only suggesting this because you mentioned you wanted mid range shooting.
