What makes a gaming hobby store?

I've visited many hobby stores over the years, and I was wondering what you all thought makes a great hobby store? Or, what makes a bad hobby store? One you wouldn't want to visit again. Would love to hear what the community thinks.

What makes a gaming hobby store?

Good:
Friendly staff
Good range (more than just GW and magic)
Space to play (for free)
Drinks/snacks for sale

Bad:
Pushy or unknoledgable staff
Nowhere to play/not enough playing space/having to pay to play

Generally I like to take a wander, browse the good, talk to someone about what I have on the go without getting a confused look back and, most importantly, I want to be able to game.
If there is no reason to hang around after purchasing something then it isn't really a "hobby store", it's just a shop. Shopping I can do online, usually for 10% cheaper. If there is enough space to game then there is the opportunity to get a club together there and get regular gaming in, or at least grab a mate and head down to use there terrain and stuff. Then while I am down there if they have something I want in stock I am going to get it from them, not the internet.
