Painted years and years ago and sort of started collecting 40k models again a while back, then stumbled across this forum as I was trying to figure out what the heck to do with them all, not having ever painted them up (yet!).

My painting was mainly fantasy minis some 20-odd years back, and this did me no favors when I decided to start collecting 40k, as I took a shine to Blood Angles, which I now have a few thousand points of and need to get color on. Nothing in my previous experience painting, even if I do shake off the rust, has prepared me for red armor. In all seriousness though, I have made peace with it. I figure if I can figure out a way to do red passably, lots of other things will feel "easy" by comparison (Naive?
