So I am comming back to the hobby and starting on a Eldar army I have been look at a few colour Schemes and found this pic



I was thinking of painting my Eldar like that and then picking out the details weapons etc.

So a couple of questions

Does anyone know the colours used?
How would you do vehicles ?
Do you think it would look good?

For vehicles however, I think this would be extremely hard to acheive without an airbrush. For the infantry, I would undercoat white, then wash with a mixture of green and blue washes, using a pure water laden brush to wash on the still wet wash to clean the colour from the raised areas and push it into the recesses only.

For the vehicles you could try something similar but using the pure water only in the centre of the panel (and only doing one or two panels at a time so it doesn't all run all over the place) to clear the centre of each panel, making it lighter, fading to the darker wash at the edges.]]> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/533810/5740913.page http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/533810/5740913.page GMT
I think a airbrush might need to be added to the shopping list then

I was looking at images and found this, I think working on a colour scheme like this would be great for the vehicles


I do agree that it could be quite bland I suppose if I get some decent bases to that would probably be a good contrast to the colours was thinking

On the eldar vehicles not sure you will achieve the effect with an airbrush. You'll get white fading to blue, but it won't look anyhting like the infantry as the blue wont' hug the recesses. You could try the same method as the original models look to have bene produced through.
