http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/8.page JForum - http://www.jforum.net WIP Howling Griffons army, I'd like to have them mid-campaign just so they're not shiny, bright, new and happy marines, but a darker, dirtier army with a muted and duller tone. The problem is, I have no idea how to achieve this effect. I found a blog of an army with a very similar effect to that which I'm wishing to achieve, but with no advice on how to get there.

If anybody could help me, I figure that you don't highlight as much and so on, but after that I don't know where I'm headed with ideas. Do you simply paint them and then heavily apply weathering techniques?
