Foam.

I know that these threads seem to come up a lot but I've got a few questions about the foam that people use for terrain.
1) Where can you buy it online in the UK?
2) What type of glue should be used to stick things to it?
3) What's it actually called?

Thanks

Found this on the google

http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?126529-Pink-Blue-insulation-Foam-in-the-UK

Last comment said Ebay.

Called polystyrene, used as insulation for houses. Pink is the most prefered.

Check out Eq2templar on Youtube and TerrainScapes. Good advice overall for table/ board making.

I use Wood Glue, or PVA (white glue) is the best overall.

Good Luck!

Note might have a different name in the UK...

Foam.

Technically it's Extruded polystyrene foam (XPS), but just search for pink polystyrene foam & you will get a host of links to modelling sites that sell it.
If you want a decent sized sheet at better prices search under it's technical name & look to buy from builder's mechants eg:
http://www.insulationexpress.co.uk/Floor-Insulation/Kingspan-Kooltherm-K3-Floorboard-Insulation.htm
