That leaves some points for upgrades or additional bodies, but 91 jump infantry models and 3 skimmers with cover or invuls seems pretty exciting. I know that this is about as glass cannon of a build as you can get but is it even a little bit viable?

you mean 90 Hellions?

Hellions are pretty bad, taking 90 of them seems like a terrible idea. Lose those 3 ravagers and you have nothing left to kill armor.

As for the comparison to assault marines, I would say their guns are slightly more useful and they have more attacks.

Hellions aren't fearless, 4 unsaved wounds and you have to roll a morale test on ld8, fail that and you lose an entire unit. Now how hard do you think it's gonna be to deal 4 unsaved wounds on an unit of T3 with whatever cover save they can get? Similar deal for ravagers, AV11 and a weak save really aren't all that, remember it's an open-topped, so one unlucky penetration shot and it could be gone. What I'm saying is, don't apply nids tactics to DE, different armies, different style.
