Painting Scout Sniper Scope Lenses...

I'm almost finished with my scout sniper squad...just one thing left unfinished and I can't decide what to do! I need to paint the lenses on their sniper rifles, but I don't want them to look bright and shiny like you see in most of the pictures you see of scouts. Anybody have anything 'different' they've seen or done themselves to inspire me!?

Well you can always just do a single white line in the corner of the lens, as a simple shine effect on a dark lens. Even a dark green or orange would look good if done properly to look like a targeting array.
