Eldar Reserves list. D-Scythes or Wraithknight?

I'm writing a list for a 1500 pts. friendly campaign featuring Warp Spiders, Crimson Hunter, Swooping Hawks and outflanking War Walkers which I expect to do most of the damage.
So I'm wondering if it would be better to use a Sun Wraithknight with SL to soak fire rather than a WS loaded with D-Scythes to deal even more damage. Rest of the army are a NightSpinner and guardian bodies (either on foot or in jetbike)

Concentrate on those swooping hawks instead. Just let'em come from reseres,d rop that super killy pie plate, bring'em back in reserves, and repeat every turn.

Granted, I play guard, but that move can wipe out my army in a couple of turns..fortunate that the eldar player misread his codex, or that would have happened.

Both are great for messing with the opponents head... But if your deciding on just those two I'd say WK for your army hands down...
2 reasons
1) Speed- Dscythes are scary but too slow to help without a serpent.. You run the risk of your other units getting picked on.
But the WK can jump 12 shoot well and assault giving a greater threat range for opponent to worry about.
2) CC.. Whilst I have had some success with Dsythes guarding the rear they can't hold out in CC.. And when your artillery is getting assaulted by beasts/ jump.. Your Dsythes can only watch..
WK can at least get in there and take some swings, giving the wholly trinity of backfield protection (survivability/ movement/ assault) however for a hefty price tag IMO

S3 beasts can't harm T7 and not many beasts are much stronger than S5.

What you're looking at is consistently having about 6 S9AP2 shots a turn while having T7 with a 2+ cover save. you're looking at one of the toughest units in the game. Put a farseer on an ADL with an icarus lascannon and watch the fun begin.

Don't mean to be rude scipio.. But no idea why you quoted.. And more importantly, you didn't really answer the OP's question..
That said everything you said is correct.. Except that the most used beasts in 40k are str 4..
However in a fast army the artillery would be very lonely back there..

And yes I know s3-4 are both useless for T7.. But they're not going to assault if they can't hurt them...
They're are plenty of ways around t7 artillery models..
They're just too vulnerable/ immobile for anything but footdar for my liking..

I think I thought you said something else.

Anyway, it doesn't matter what "your liking" is. The suggestion for a backfield defender is there for OP. if he decides against it, cool. But that doesn't make it less of a valid suggestion.

They give you a solid firebase that most opponents will either ignore, giving you free reign of your firepower, or attack, meaning other things aren't vulnerable.

Eldar Reserves list. D-Scythes or Wraithknight?

My troops are basically 2x3 biker squad and a 10 guardian squad, so I don't care very much for my backfield, as the rest of my army is highly mobile. If you're dropping your capsule or flankers near the lowly costed guardians, it's fine with me. I've enough ranged firepower and/or movement to gain advantage.

The Wraithknight it's a sponge who hopefully will draw fire, while the rest deal conveniently with the enemy. My question was if people will see it (WK) as a menace or will focus on other elements of my army.

Thank you very much for all your answers.
