				<title>Eldar vs Tau 1500 Points</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I brought:<br /> <br /> 1500 Eldar<br /> <br /> Eldrad<br /> Avatar - Fast Shot <br /> Warlock (w/ guardians)<br /> <br /> 6 Fire Dragon - Exarch with Fire Pike and Fast Shot <br /> 8 Dire Avengers - Exarch with Shimmer Shield and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(486);'>PW</span><br /> 15 Guardians with Starcannon 6 Rangers<br /> Wave Serpent- <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> Scatter Laser, Chin Cannon, Holofield (held Dire avengers)<br /> <br /> Wraithlord - 2 Bright Lances/ Sword<br /> Falcon - Bright Lance/Chin Cannon, Holofield (held Fire Dragons)<br /> 5 Dark Reapers- Exarch w/ Night Vision<br /> <br /> He brought:<br /> <br /> 1500 Tau<br /> <br /> Shadowsun with a bunch of drones as a bodyguard<br /> Ethereal<br /> <br /> Riptide<br /> <br /> 3x6 Fire Warriors<br /> 15ish Kroot<br /> <br /> 6 Pathfinders<br /> Tau Flyer<br /> <br /> Hammerhead<br /> Broodside (Railgun)<br /> Broodside (Railgun)<br /> <br /> Skyshield Landing Pad<br /> <br /> It looked like it would be bad. To start off the game we get kill points (he can camp in his zone) and<br /> long deployment (ugh), he then gets first turn and proceeds to plop everything on<br /> his landing pad with the riptide and hammerhead in each corner.<br /> (could be worse, at least hes not too far away.) Then I roll awful for<br /> psychic powers. (Default to Guide, Default to Prescience, Foreboding, Forewarning). Warlock took Conceal/Reveal.<br /> <br /> Turn 1 Tau<br /> <br /> He infiltrates kroot near wraithlord and rangers. Focus Fires his army<br /> at stuff out of cover and kills a few things guys. <br /> <br /> Turn 1 Eldar<br /> <br /> I scoot forward and shoot both his broadsides down with brightlances<br /> (insta kill and no save other than 4+ from landing pad), Reapers kill<br /> some pathfinders.<br /> <br /> Turn 2 Tau<br /> <br /> He gets his flyer and then deep strikes shadow sun who scatters and<br /> mishaps so gets thrown in a corner. Picks off a few more guys. Bit of an odd<br /> play by him as he backs his kroot from my wraithlord but bunches them<br /> up.<br /> <br /> Turn 2 Eldar<br /> <br /> I continue moving forward. Wraithlord 2xflames the kroot killing a<br /> ton. I put 2 wounds on the Riptide via AP2 shooting. Kill a bunch of Fire<br /> warriors.<br /> <br /> Turn 3 Tau<br /> <br /> Shadow sun continues to be really fast (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(2);'>3d6</span> jetpack moves) and moves<br /> up to try to shoot the avatar but realizes she cant bc hes immune to melta. He Picks<br /> off more guardians.<br /> <br /> Turn 3 Eldar<br /> <br /> Avatar puts 2 more wounds on the Riptide with his melta (1 remaining<br /> now). Falcon unloads the Firedragons who pop his hammerhead. I kill<br /> off more Firewarriors. I roll bad trying to kill his flyer and debate<br /> shooting the Wraithlord (leaving the Avatar to kill the Riptide in<br /> assault). Optimal <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>IMO</span> if I want to table but for the the game's sake prob<br /> stupid. Wraithlord shoots and kills Riptide. He frustratingly<br /> concedes.<br /> <br /> He had left Shadowsun, ~8 firewarriors, and a flyer out of position to<br /> do anything next turn except drop a single bomb and fly off the table.<br /> <br /> <br /> I'm not sure Eldrad is worth it anymore. The regen Warp Charge for<br /> Psychic Power is only worth it for protecting himself from<br /> perils/forceweaponing people or if hes casting Warp Charge 2 powers (sometimes valuable). I don't think I can cast extra spells<br /> with it. Everything else played like before but better. Reminded me of<br /> 3rd edition. Units are more expensive but price increase is worth it <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>IMO</span>.<br /> <br /> My feelings on Eldrad could be bc of weaker powers. I rolled on Eldar table<br /> missed doom/fortune so I took guide and then went to divination. Wound<br /> up downgrading the first one to prescience. Then getting 4+ <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(162);'>inv</span> for<br /> a unit within 12 as well as counterattack and overwatch at full <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> for<br /> psycher and unit (after passing on it the first time and super worthless against Tau).<br /> <br /> So other than double guide he was rather unhelpful for the game. Also<br /> without runes of witnessing it was a bit harder to cast as I failed a<br /> few spells.<br /> <br /> I think this list could be decent (not necessarily top level tourny competitive) with some minor tweaking (mostly<br /> droppinga few upgrades and then adding jetbikes/eldar flyer/warp<br /> spiders or swooping hawks or something to give backfield presence at 1750/1850 (tournament level points).<br /> Farseer prob should be on a jetbike to make instakilling him harder. I own none of these though so who knows if that will happen. <br /> <br /> Thoughts? ]]></description>
