				<title>Skaven-slave rules/points modifications.</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So what do you think should be done to skaven-slaves?  I wouldn't entirely be against skaven-slaves going up another 1/2 a point per model though i'm unsure if they should go up to 3 points per model.  Are any current models with half points per model on them?  Personally my issue is that zombies are 3 points per model and were given extreme boosts and are basically slaves except unstable and unbreakable and can be risen beyond starting size and they cause fear.  Their stats are also nearly identical when comparing the melee variants.  The slaves would normally be better but vampire counts have more boosts and everything causes fear at least in their army even zombies at 3 points per model.<br /> <br /> I also don't think clanrats should go beyond 5 points per model considering skeletons have about the same equipment and cause fear and can be risen back from death or undeath though that's another argument for another day.<br /> <br /> I know some of you mentioned slaves possibly getting unstable or similar.  Considering gnoblars and their points cost per model as well considering what both do and that gnoblars cause panic in nothing while slaves cause panic in other slaves.<br /> <br /> I actually might consider slaves costing 3 points per model with the same stats just so long as we can still shoot into them and they only cause panic to other slaves.  Shooting into slaves seems huge to me.<br /> <br /> Perhaps we should give unit restrictions to slave units.  Like a minimum-maximum limit per unit and something along the lines of needing other units to even have slaves (for instance other army choices such as stormvermin or clanrats).  Perhaps only being allowed to take as many slaves points-wise as you have of stormvermin and clanrat units combined (with weapons teams, command and everything) or perhaps only half your core can be skaven-slaves?  This would mean slaves would still be fairly likely with stormvermin, night runners and clanrats but with things like plague monks and other special, rare, lords or heroes choices it takes away from that much more of the slaves you can take.  This would make it harder to have some nasty rares and lords/heroes for good leadership and still have enough slaves when half your core  units have to be something other than slaves.  I mean it still probably won't do much as slaves are so cheap unless they cost 3 points per model but it might help somewhat.  Then again we'd probably see more weapons teams so you never know how it'd go.  Might not do much but it might help.  Perhaps you can only get as many points in slaves as the stormvermin and clanrats units are combined in points and that's the best bet.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Units aren't balanced to each other.  Zombies might be X, but <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(138);'>VC</span> don't have Warp Lightning Cannons and whatnot.  What other armies have doesn't really matter, it's the whole dynamic together, not individual units.  It's a question of whether slaves in the Skaven army are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>OP</span>/UP/Fine.  Skaven Slaves don't exist in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(138);'>VC</span> army.<br /> <br /> I don't know if they are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>OP</span>, mostly because I don't think I've seen huge masses of them.  I don't think you should have upper limits on nearly any unit because it screws over larger games.  If someone wants to have 1500 slaves in a unit playing across a cafeteria floor, I don't think they should have to arbitrarily split them up into units.  You almost never see an upper limit on core, just elites.]]></description>

Having a rank bonus means that they might win combat against chaos hounds, sabre tusk, harpie, great eagle and crappy fast cav.
