Maybe if they were a bit more hardy but right now their main selling point is the rerolling of 1s to hit and wound (so no twinlinking required) but almost all the MCs you're shooting will have some kind of inv save. Crons lack a plasma equivalent to kill MCs so rely on CC, wargear and weight of fire

Your list already has 3 barges in it so I'd spend those 170 points on scarabs and a couple of haywire teks for your 5 man warrior squads.
