Freebooterz starting up

I'm starting up a new (small, for now) collection of Freebooterz, inspired by the Retribution cast. (I'm also new here)
I've started work on a sculpted model of Kaptin Bluddflagg, which isn't exactly going marvellously at the moment, since I'm new to sculpting, and the heat recently is oppressive, but I'm still just adding flesh to the skeleton at the moment, rather than adding detail. I'll do that from the feet up. Baby steps. The head is going rather well, though, and I plan to widen the jaw and add more, bigger teef to the warboss head I have at the moment, after I finish off the eyes and add another ear. Following that, I'll give him his hat and gob. I'll have a shot at doing his armour in plasticard, too.
What I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into, though, is the bommer I'll be getting for my birthday, that being Friday, the 19th. I plan to paint it blue, with white stripes down the side, and test out some of those weathering techniques from Imperial Armour Model Masterclass.

If you guys are interested, pictures are sure to follow, if I borrow my brother's camera. Mine is a bit naff.
But if anyone has sculpting tips (other than keep the tools wet, which I've found is very handy), they would be good to know.
