This is also my best skill so it just feels easier.

Getting the model done to a good standard is far more rewarding though.

Painting is hard work for me.
When I do it, I am SO happy when I removed mold lines and cleaned the model well, filled gaps, and pinned parts (if I drop it), so much is forgiven by a well done assembly.

When that fully painted army hits the table it is rewarding to everyone; my opponent has something good to look at, I can see easily what loadout each guy has, other people get motivation to complete their own models after being reminded how good it looks. It is one of the few times I allow myself to feel pride in something and "showing off" because it was honest hard work that I happen to like.
