Want to use a primer but does one closely match to Shadow Grey, Fenris Grey and/or The Fang exist?

Hi all, just ran into a rather annoying situation. Basically, for my current Space Wolves, they are basecoated with a Shadow Grey (which are kind of the same as Fenris Grey and The Fang, hence why I put them in the title) and I will be soon getting for more stuff like a tanks for my collection. So to save me more time, I was wondering if I can get a spray paint/primer that closely matches to either Shadow Grey, Fenris Grey and/or The Fang and that it gives a matte finish and is acrylic based. Please note that I live in the UK and I thank you very much for reading this dire post

Haha yes I have seen that but the problem is, once the model is finished I believe the model is left with a light blue finish like the ones you find in the SW codex. I may sound really picky here but I don't personally like that scheme, I'm more after the darker blue finish.

It's very light, a bit lighter than Astronomicon Grey, but Vallejo Acrylic Urethane primer may work. With a dark glaze it may suffice for a basecoat if that's your intent. Otherwise, maybe Tamiyas surface primer, it's more of a distinct neutral grey and might be closer than the very pale Vallejo.

The wolf grey is not light at all, and you can get it in brush on in small bottles.

Get one of the small bottles and try a test.

If it is too glossy, then go with a matte varnish at the end.

best of luck!

If you're wanting to darken the overall model, a thinned down layer of Nuln Oil wash works fine. If found you want it pretty thin or it can quickly get too dark. It's far better to over thin and apply multiple layers than make it too dark.

Hi first post, been a long time lurker.
I didn't want the same ultramarine cast off look for my wolves either and after a lot of searching found someone who used halfords own grey primer. Gave my space wolves the grey look I wanted without the horrible blue tinge.
Much cheaper than gw sprays too.
