Shooting tanks

'sup.

I saw some pretty sweet pics of tanks and artillery pieces "mid-shot", and I was wondering if anyone have any sort of tips for me? I'd like to convert a Leman Russ in this manner, and I'm not really sure where to begin.

Hopefully, other novices such as myself will find this thread and try it out for themselves (provided, of course, someone helps out )

Thanks in advance

Shooting tanks

The easiest way to do it is to buy an Armorcast Weapon Effect at the appropriate calibre. they seem to do everything from light lasers up to superheavy cannons. Alternatively you can use the images of the effects as a template to do your own. With a heavy cannon you might want to try and model it mid-recoil as well, i.e. rocked back on its tracks with the barrel fully retracted.
