So I sold all my figures back at fourth edition after a tournament where my Necrons faced 8 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(128);'>TMC</span>'s 3/5 games and I was pretty bored at the amount of space marines in general. Now some friends got back to it and I bought some Orks I'll probably be painting for the rest of the year. This is nearly all the figures I have save for some ~40 slugga boyz, 3 Nobs, 2 Burna Boyz and a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span> Big Mek, of course I'll be getting more after some games when I know what I want.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span><br /> <br /> Warboss / Mega-Armour, Attack Squig, Kybork Body, Bosspole, Kombi-Skorcha = 135<br /> <br /> Warboss / 'Eavy Armour, Power Klaw, Kombi-Skorcha, Attack Squig = 110<br /> <br /> ELITES<br /> <br /> 10 Lootas / 2x Mek / Megablasta = 150<br /> <br /> 6 Burnaboyz = 90<br /> <br /> 6 Tankbustas = 90<br /> <br /> TROOPS<br /> <br /> 10 Nobz / 4x Power Klaw, 3x Big Choppa, Painboy,  Waagh Banner, Heavy Armour  = 410<br /> * Trukk = 35<br /> <br /> 2x 30 Shoota Boyz / 3 Big Shootas, Nob / Heavy Armour, Big Choppa = 2x 215<br /> <br /> FAST ATTACK<br /> <br /> 2x 5 Warbikes = 2x 125<br /> <br /> 3 Deffkoptas / Twin-Linked Rokkits, Bigbomm = 150<br /> <br /> TOTAL : 1850<br /> <br /> <br /> I didn't think the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span> Big Mek would be very interesting, neither would be a slugga boy mob. So. The job of the Megaboss + Nobz is to kill, they have a huge amount of power klaw attacks that are probably going to hit at 3+. Getting there is a bit shaky since they travel with a Trukk, if there's nothing to sneak behind from I guess they just have to chance it. Shoota boyz are great anti-infantry in my opinion, cheap, numerous and lots of shots, I consider them vastly better than slugga boys who basically have low S close combat attacks that strike last. Tankbustas are the cheapest possible S8 shots I believe, and they have some chance of craking tanks in close combat, such as that ever happens, lootas are the better option overall I think but I like to have some S8 shots too. I split Warbikers because they don't benefit from mob rule in any way really, Deffkoptas are supposed to flank and kill tanks / use the cheapest large blast available to Orks for killing thrash infantry. Burnaboys are supposed to lurk somewhere until they can shoot their massed flamers, I really don't have any faith in them as a close combat unit however, that's what the second Warboss is for. If anything the burnaboys can support him if necessary.<br /> <br /> I have played just one match of 6th edition, Necrons vs. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span>. What I figured was that everybody always has some kind of a cover save (so massed AP2-3 is probably worth nothing), vehicles die instantly to monstrous creatures which in turn are as annoying as ever, penetrating hits do nothing unless you have <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> 1 or 2 (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span> @ Blitza-Bomma). So how about an army full of multidakka? I could also have had Necrons but I would have got a bunch of Destroyers which I found entirely rubbish and too expensive. Better play Nobs, they aren't expensive at all...]]></description>

Save points: Drop the Kombi-Scorchas.  They're a waste of time with having one shot/game unless you're going up against Nids, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>, or other Orks.  <br /> <br /> 2. Meks with the Lootas:  Drop em.  Run full out 10 Lootas with Dakkaguns.  You go from a possible 8-24 shots/turn to a possible 10-30 shots/turn.  They have better range than the KMB.<br /> <br /> 3: Deffkoptas:  Trade out <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> Rokkits for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> Big Shootas as the situation warrants.  If you're tank hunting with them, take the Rokkits, otherwise go for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> Big Shootas to mow infantry down.<br /> <br /> 4: Burna Boyz: Good if you're running them in a Battlewagon. 				<description><![CDATA[ Easy way to paint Orks...<br /> <br /> Spraypaint Black<br /> <br /> Quick paint skin green.<br /> Brown on cloths.<br /> Boltgun on metal.<br /> White for eyes/teeth.<br /> <br /> Paint over with a brown stain, use a big brush, just don't goop too much on.  <br /> <br /> Use a dull coat(spray can variety) when you are done.<br /> <br /> <br /> It like the dip method, but with better results and doesn't make as big of a mess.<br /> <br /> You can pain an entire Orc Army very very quickly and they look good.  If you want them to look even better pick one highlight color for each.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I use whitespray and mud em all up and put traka green over the skin <br /> drybrush all the metal parts and wash it with oil<br /> wash on oil mixed with aba black on the back/legs<br /> put on all the pretty parts for earring and such<br /> and finish in more mud cus you gotta make a good paintjob pretty <br /> my mek in my pic was my first model thats not my paint scheme i use anymore. hope maybe this helps for painting<br /> is about 20mins per boy ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Oi, yoo gits iz muckin about!<br /> <br /> ~Keep the Kombi Skorchas. Do not underestimate the power of a S5 AP4 template. Even though it only fires once, good god it'll earn its measly points cost back so easily.<br /> <br /> ~Warbosses are generally only good with MEGA ARMOUR or a BIKE, the standard one isn't going to be all that great I reckon<br /> <br /> ~Don't put meks on your Lootas, only attach to burnas and then only if they are in a vehicle (which they always should be because they are expensive and fragile)<br /> <br /> ~Tankbustas are trash. Cool trash, but trash<br /> <br /> ~Nobs are generally crap on boyz mobs now because of the challenge rules. I wouldn't bother, especially only with a big choppa]]></description>

My reasoning behind the Kombi-Skorchas is that they cost less than a boy, are heavy flamer shots therefore good at clearing cultists / gaunts / d/eldar infantry / whatever. After all I don't want the Warboss to fight forever with some gaunts if there's an option that in the right situation basically kills them. Yeah it's not amazing but the models have them already and it's where the spare points went that couldn't buy anything else. <br /> <br /> 2. Yeah it's just that the lootas came with meks, though I like that the kustom blastas have AP2. The range difference makes them a bad fit in lootas though. <br /> <br /> 3. Well I imagine they're one of the better tank hunter units in the book since they can flank. They have the bigbomm for some random mob clearing. Furthermore I much prefer meganobz over nobz but I don't like the models at all and they're pricey too. Go for the Boomgunz on them.<br /> <br /> Kannons are your friend. <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">  Those grots are good at shooty!<br /> <br /> You REALLY want to drop the burna boyz in favor of more lootas.
