Tzeentch themed daemons 1750pts

I know I've been posting lots of lists recently. I'm playing in a friendly tournament in which each army must have a theme. So with this in mind I had to choose one god and stick with it. I chose tzeentch for 3 reasons. I like the was they play compared to slaneesh. I have to take Fateweaver (makes daemons a lot more reliable) and finally I'm good at painting blue and pink. So this is about as competative a pure tzeentch army I can make. Please not I don't want to play the screamer star I know it kicks ass but in my experience you need Khone dogs in there face so if you don't get turn one your screamer star won't get blaster to smithereens. This is my idea so far.

HQ
Fateweaver

LoC
LvL3, staff, 2 greater rewards

TROOPS
11 horrors

11 horrors

11 horrors

HEAVY SUPPORT
Soul grinder
Tzeentch, phlem

Daemon prince
Tzeentch, staff, armour, wings, 2 greater rewards, LvL2 (biomancy)

Daemon prince
Tzeentch, staff, Grimnoire, wings, armour, LvL3 biomancy/change

1747pts

The two princes roll on biomancy hoping for iron arm/endurance. If the one with the Grimnoire get iron arm/endurance he will also take flickering fire for extra fore support. The general tactic is to throw 4fmc at my opponent making them make decisions whilst the soul grinder moves up blasting stuff. The Lord of change and Fateweaver buff the two daemon princes and get in combat (LOC only) then the horrors deepstrike onto objectives and/or blast whatever is in range.

Already have the Grimnoire and what happens if its objectives I can't rely on just 2 troops.

I presume you guys want a list like this:

HQ
Fateweaver

LoC
LvL3, greater, exalted

TROOPS
11 horrors

11 horrors

HEAVY SUPPORT
Prince
Armour, wings, lvl2, lesser reward, greater reward

Prince
Armour, wings, lvl2, lesser reward, greater reward

Prince
Armour, wings, lvl2, lesser reward, greater reward

1733
It does look tempting. I might use this in a couple of test games. But as I said lots of chance of loosing my troops early in objective missions.

You are right, that does get too sparse on troops, though you could reserve the troops to DS them in and hope your 5 FMCs can candle the enemy before they get there being the only two targets for the first 1-2 turns.

I think the second list doesn't have enough troops but I think giving the LoC the Grimnoire is a good idea. so if I give the loc the Grimnoire then change phlem to torrent on the grinder that would free it up so I could have both my princes looking like this.
Prince
Wings, armour, lesser, 2 greater, lvl2 and lvl3.

I like the first list. How does your Soul Grinder usually do? I'd be worried about only having one av target on the table.

For your Princes, I would take Exalted, Lesser/Greater. If you're rolling on Biomancy there's a good chance you'll get some defensive buffs. Always roll for Exalted. Don't trade right away. If you roll a one, you get another roll on exalted and a roll/swap on lesser (Staff anyone?). This way you get the portal and grimiore. Also, Riftbringer can be better than the portalglyh so it's something to consider.

Lord of Change you'll want to keep Greaters and Lesser. The Princes have a 3+ armor save so they can get away with less greater rewards.

I'm glad you're taking the "minimum" horrors. I enjoy squads of 11-12.

Only thing I could suggest is dropping the Grinder for some flamers/screamers for theme. Flamers would help with Hordes, which this list might have a hard time with. Screamers keep a good pace with FMC.

Yeah screamers are a good idea. My soul grinder doesn't get shot up that much usually because people concentrate on the FMC. The idea about taking exalted on the princes is ok although they are more vulnerable than the LoC and I want my Grimnoire protected. I wouldn't want I'd dying first turn to a lucky str10 shot.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm going to go for this list.

HQ
Fateweaver

LoC
Lvl3, greater, exalted

TROOPS
11 horrors

11 horrors

11 horrors

FAST ATTACK
7 screamers

HEAVY SUPPORT
Prince
Tzeentch, lvl2, wings, armour, lesser, 2 greater

Prince
Tzeentch, lvl2, wings, armour, lesser, 2 greater

1737pts
Where do the last 10points go??

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I could get 10 (tzeentch dogs) zombie dogs painted blue and pink used as flesh hounds.

I just ordered Kroot Hounds to use as Tzeentch Flesh Hounds. Cheaper than Flesh Hounds, but more than chaos hounds. You'll get more wounds from the hounds, but lose slashing attacks. That, and Forewarning/Grimiore Screamers are fun. Looks good and fast.

Cheers yeah I just math hammered it. With prescience (which I will give that unit) the hounds fair better vs all units except vehicles. Only having one str 5 ap 2 atk doesn't do the screamers Well wearas the scout moves the hounds get means guaranteed turn two charge and they look very threatening before the game starts.
