				<title>11,000 points apocalypse, Necrons versus strange chaos/GK alliance</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Got together this past Saturday for my first game of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(7);'>apoc</span> using the new rules.<br /> <br /> Necrons:<br /> Whole bunch of warriors, BUNCH of tomb blades, Transcendent C'tan, Tesseract Vault, 3 Pylons and like 6 sentry pylons.<br /> <br /> Assets:  Precise coordinates, Blind Barrage<br /> <br /> Chaos:<br /> Reaver Titan, Warhound titan, Zarakynel, noisemarines, cultist formation, assorted vehicles, 3 chaos daemons princes<br /> <br /> Grey Knights:  <br /> Broherhood Dread Knight formation, 2 terminator squads, like 5 independent characters and Draigo, 4 strike squads, 8 razorbacks, firestorm redoubt<br /> <br /> Assets:  Precise Coordinates, Daemonic Allies<br /> <br /> <br /> We got the Exterminatus Mission, which made everything on the board fearless and have hatred. Necrons won solidly, with their special toys making mincemeat out of us.  All of our big things were handled in short order, and the rest of our forced couldn't contend with things like their sentry pylons, fliers, or even the few squads of wraiths wandering about.<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ not in its damage potential overall, it's just REALLY good at killing superheavies for its cost. A little over 400 points to easily bring down half a reaver costing 4 times as much?  Ouch.<br /> <br /> Then again, put a group of cultists or some marines with meltaguns in front of it and it just can't seem to do much at all against them.<br /> <br /> Its real potential is its deep striking ability and the new <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(7);'>apoc</span> rules.  It needs no asset or tactic to keep it safe - just deep strike it turn 1 and you WILL get to shoot unless the enemy has pylons of their own and you're going second.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'm not positive they've overdone the D weapon's power that much.  I think they maybe should have been just +3 on the damage table, a step above being AP1.  And auto-penetrate like before.  That would mean most vehicles are dying on a 3+, and superheavies take an additional d3 hull points on a 3+.  That rolling a 6 means you do SIX plus an additional <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>d6</span> hull points is just.... most of the new superheavies (baneblade rerelease, necron and lord of skulls kits) are one-shotted on a 3+.<br /> <br /> But the problem is, the larger titans would have little to fear from D weapons then.  It's hard to balance such things.<br /> <br /> And ignoring invul saves makes the gargantuan creatures just crumble.  Problem is, if you don't ignore invul saves you get the silly storm shield squads that die to bolter fire MORE easily than they die to a D weapon, and that's just wrong.<br /> <br /> As for the young lady, she was actually not bored.  She was busy building a skull cannon or whatever it's called, the new khorne chariot.  She's an avid builder.  And both of those young ladies are very supportive of their friend/bf's hobby!]]></description>
