I am thinking of making a return to my one of my first 40k loves, the Chaos Space Marines. I was thinking of running something like the following (I don't have the codex yet, so this is all guesswork right now):

Chaos Lord
Plasma pistol, daemon weapon, sigil of corruption, jump pack, mark of slaanesh, gift of mutation (the thing that lets him roll on the boon table), VOTLW

Sorceror
Level 3, Mark of Nurgle, Sigil of corruption, burning brand, bike

10 Possessed
Mark of Slaanesh

10 Chaos Marines
2 plasma guns, combi plasma, powerfist, VOTLW
Rhino

10 Chaos Marines
2 melta guns, combi melta, powerfist, VOTLW
Rhino

2 x 20 cultists with heavy stubbers/flamers

5 Warp Talons
Mark of slaanesh, VOTLW, Icon of excess

4 Chaos Spawn
Mark of Nurgle

Havocs
4 Autocannons, VOTLW

3 Obliterators
Mark of Nurgle

Land Raider
Dirge Castor, Havoc Launcher

I am sure this isn't the most competitive list out there (no Heldrakes for one thing) and I don't even know how many points it is or if it is legal, but it has models and units in it that I like and want to use (mainly the possessed and warp talons) so I don't mind too much.

Could any CSM players help me with getting this list into the 2000pt bracket I am aiming for?

The basic plan is for the Lord to go with the warp talons and the sorceror to go with the spawn on his bike. The possessed will ride in the land raider, the havocs and oblits will provide fire support while the cultists (hopefully) hold some objectives and be a bullet shield if necessary.

The two marine squads will ride around in their rhinos shooting stuff and getting into combat/ securing forward objectives when required.
