				<description><![CDATA[ So I have this old Mech that I would like to convert into a Knight of some sort<br /> <br /> <img src="http://arenamensa.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/dakka15.08-650.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> It currently stands about 6.5 - 7" tall, so it's too small to be a "counts as" Warhound...<br /> <br /> For an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(7);'>Apoc</span> game this weekend I am proposing we use the following:<br /> <br /> KNIGHT : 400 pts<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> 3 <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> 4 <br /> S 10 <br /> I 2<br /> A 1<br /> <br /> ARMOR <br /> FRONT 13 <br /> SIDE 13 <br /> REAR 11 <br /> <br /> UNIT: 1 Knight Paladin<br /> TYPE: Super-heavy walker<br /> Hull Points: 6<br /> <br /> VOID SHIELDS: 1<br /> <br /> WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT:<br /> 2 arm-mounted weapons:<br /> - Volcano Cannon (both guns at same target)<br /> <br /> Shoulder mounted rocket launchers (2), like the MLR pods on the Vakyrie<br /> <br /> Left shoulder - searchlight, (and this one is just for fun!) Right shoulder - smoke launchers with 24" range<br /> <br /> - Twin-linked Autocannon (just above the Pilot's compartment)<br /> <br /> I'd love to hear any comments or suggestions as to rules, "Datasheet", or direction for the conversion. <br /> <br /> Thanks.]]></description>

The scale of weaponry you should be looking at are twin-linked versions of large guns found on normal size tanks. These would be arm weapons. Hull points are fine too.<br /> <br /> The void shield is reasonable, though (and others feel free to correct me on Knight fluff) I recall some knights having a large shield on one arm instead of weapon.  This shield could be used to provide something in the order of a straight up 5++ in the front arc only (but no void shield to compensate), or could have 3 void shields in the front arc only.<br /> <br /> Something to think about.  With all that, somewhere in the ballpark of 300-400pts would be reasonable.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah, volcano cannons are way too big. That's a Shadowsword or Reaver gun, the gun alone would almost be bigger than your entire model. Considering the size I'd say they'd be much more appropriate as battlecannons (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(89);'>LRBT</span> gun). Valkyrie frag missiles for the shoulder launchers would be fine. With those changes 400 points is about right, you're doing superheavy-level damage but still short of a Shadowsword/Baneblade.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Knights never meant to be an all-rounders - different patterns were designed for different roles, so if your knight have a lot of high-strength blast weapons and no machineguns, it's totally OK.<br /> <br /> If you plan to use him as <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(270);'>SH</span> walker, it should have some nerfs for stomp attacks and explosion rwdius/damage, as it's not as big as a titan and powered from huge battery, rather than unstable plasma core reactor. If it's not a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(270);'>SH</span>, it should have some rules, that allow him to shoot ordnance weapon without penalties.]]></description>

The actual Knight Paladin is armed with a Battle Cannon and 2 Heavy Bolters in Epic because it's designed to engage both troops and light vehicles. The important thing to remember about Knights is that they're designed so that an entire Household can take on an entire army as they're often the only military force on their world.]]></description>
