Can the Dark Vengeance Marines be de-winged?

I'm thinking of picking up Dark Vengeance to pad out a small Codex Chapter project I'm working on. I was wondering if anyone has advice on removing the Dark Angels iconography and converting them to stock Marines. Obviously the Captian is a writeoff, but how about the other models? Is it worth the effort?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about how easy it would be to make them another chapter of loyalist space marine, but I know that I was able to make them Chaos Space Marines, if that helps. You might have to use a hobby saw to get rid of the arms because of all the junk on the pauldrons, though. Personally I greenstuffed over them to make them fur covered to hide all of it, but once again, it's a Chaos army so I don't know if there's an approach you can take for doing that.

It's been done with a lot of patience and skilled knife/file work. Even the Captain can be modified to be a standard marine Captain with enough patience.

It is a LOT of work though. So it depends on how much you value your time and just how patient and skilled you are with a knife and files.

Can the Dark Vengeance Marines be de-winged?

Yes it is possible. I've done it myself. As mentioned above just use a sharp blade to carefully carve away the DA icons.

Can the Dark Vengeance Marines be de-winged?

I am currently in the process of converting two sets of the Dark Vengeance Marines into Wolves, but fortunately with the Space Wolves it's pretty easy because you can tack all kinds of wolfy things on... Removing the iconography is the hardest part, but you can cover most of it up with other bits. The shoulder pads are a little tough though.
