I was wondering if the updated tac squad will be replacing the older versions in other codex battle forces? I assume they would but on what timetable, I can't guess.

I was planning to buy a BA battle force for a project but it seems reasonable to wait for a bit if the tac squad will be updated in said box.

Only if/when they bring out a new Battleforce.
