Your right, particularly in this edition it is best to just let a powerful assault unit roll you and have em out in the open to get shot down.

The reapers seemed to work really well. I think they are an undervalued unit and you used them to good effect. Very cool.

As far as seer powers, I like to dip into all diciplines. I go eldar powers first, only keeping doom or fortune(maybe eldritch storm depending on opponent) and taking guide if I roll any of the others. Keep rolling on eldar powers till you have to take guide, then take a shot at divination(usually taking prescience, but some of the other powers are ok) and telepathy if any rolls are left.
