With the new rules (to be confirmed obviously), you'll have an army that can scout move, stays extremely mobile and a mini-deathstar that gets: stealth, hit-and-run, zealot, "double-jumpack moves", re-roll hammer of wrath wounds, and weapons to kill just about anything.<br /> You still get decent fire support from the flyers too.<br /> <br /> What do you guys think for a fluffy Ravenguard army?<br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> I realized afterwards that I did not include the jumpack upgrades for the vanguards, but I would imagine that the overall point reduction would pay for that cost.<br /> <br /> What do people think about this overall Ravenguard setup? 				<description><![CDATA[ I have a friend who runs a very similar list and hasn't won a game in nearly two years, probably more a commentary on him than the list though. <br /> <br /> Personally, I don't think any army needs four flyers, especially two Stormravens which I think are pretty damn over costed. if nothing's going in them then you're better served spending those 400 points on more dudes.<br /> <br /> If you want two squads of Assault Marines as troops you may as well just ally in Blood Angels and bring a Priest for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span> and drop the chaplain for a divination librarian, who, with prescience. will do what the chaplain does but in every round of assault, not just the first.<br /> <br /> I also think there's too few Vanguard vets, with five they only need to take two or three wounds before their killing power is neutered significantly.<br /> <br /> For the scouts, load them all up on sniper rifles+cloaks if you don't have anything deep striking I don't see a reason to have them further up field slinging bolters unless Korvydae's rules say you must. There's a lot of eggs in your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> basket, so to speak, I'd try and lose one if you're not heading down the allies route.<br /> <br /> On the subject of Shrike and his infiltrate, I find this could either make or break his squad. If you deploy too aggressively you present him and his squad as the obvious target and they probably won't survive the first volley of shots and remain combat effective. Play it smart and it could be handy.]]></description>
