I slapped together what I'd *like* to bring, but its well over 1850. Looking for tips on what I should cut to try and cram this list into the allowed points.

This is all the stuff I'd like to take;

HQ
Bikerboss [160]

ELITES

TROOPS
5x Biker Nobz [320]
~Banner, Bosspole, Power Klaw, Cybork, Kombi-Skorcha [85]
~Painboy, Cybork, Orderly [85]
~Slugga/Choppa, Cybork [x3] [50x3 = 150]

5x Boyz Trukks [152x5 = 760 -6 = 754]
~11 Boyz, PK Nob, Reinforced Ram
~One trukk is -1 boy to fit the mek

FAST ATTACK
3x Solo Squad Grot Bomm Launchas [105]

HEAVY SUPPORT
3x Kannon Big Guns [180]

Total: 2094, or 244 over the limit


So theres a hard hitting, highly mobile assault element and a ton of dakka. The Bikes and Nobz roll together on one flank in order to minimize small arms fire, while my dakka elements blast whatever is gonna give them choppy boyz trouble.

Whats just occured to me is that I could quite possibly get the 5+ cover through my Nob Bikers anyway, so the KFF could be a good place to cut points. I could also possibly swap him for a naked ADL - good for Lootas, or good for Trukks to start behind (4+ vs 5+), or hell, I could even double bluff with it - place it first on one table side, other guy deploys based on that, then when I deploy I'm all the way on the other side!

I'd rather not drop any trukks if possible... got one to represent each clan aside from the Snakebites and I really like that element of my army. In my 1850 I run 4 lots of boyz with trukks. So I was about to suggest you could save points there.... And then I read your pretence to keep them, and I must admit its quite a cool reason. Would like to see those trukks.

As you already said, the KFF can be in a way replicated by other means of cover save. But they are very handy, I myself don't take one, but I also don't play my orks that competitively.

The Grot Bomms I use to deal with heavy duty artillery hiding down the back of the field, which generally wrecks Orks yet the GBLs can very easily get a kill or a stun on it. Having S8 AP3 large blast TL barrage weapons, they really mess with my opponents deployment and I've had games where the other guy literally threw 90% of his first turn shooting at a 35pt model (and failed to kill it lol). That said three could be overkill

The Big Guns are very efficient dakka for their points, and can take hits like a champ unlike Lootas. On the question of "4 Lootas or 3 Kannons" I'd probably take the Kannons. But then Lootas are a staple of current Orks so its bloody hard to justify cutting these!

I've been thinking of dropping the Loota mobs to 8, because of the "under 25%" rule. With 9 or 10 models, if I drop to 2 models they're effectively dead. With 8, they'd have to drop to one to flee. If I cut that and cut the Mek I'd be at 215/244 points that need to be removed.
