But other than those couple of little details, this is a fantasic model. Really outstanding work.

Thanks to everyone for responding! I agree on the weathering, I have in fact applied battle damage - I used a small piece of foam with ultramarine blue (as a quick and easy alternative to line highlighting), then filled in most of the areas with black/brown 50/50. This was done in about 4 hours which felt blindingly fast - having DVDs on in the background certainly helped. What is frustratingly funny is that before the pigment (which is supposed to match the dirt bases for my bikes) I thought the weathering was too OOT, from your comments it looks like everyone thinks it's too subtle or non-existent. I think I'll have to be careful with my pigment application from now on, and my photography could possibly benefit from a little TLC. I agree the metallic looks a little flat, hopefully this is something I can remedy easily. I deliberately left the main gun Un-weathered as I read somewhere that modern militaries may be unconcerned with repainting armour in the field but apparently keep their weapons in tip top shape - or I'm easily persuaded by an excuse to be lazy! Hopefully I can post some more respectable photos in my P&M blog sometime next week. Thanks to everyone again for posting, I really appreciate you taking time to comment and I'll be incorporating your advice next painting session! If you have time please check out the rest of my painting efforts in my gallery or P&M blog.

Regards
