Ditch them, giving yourself 320pts if I've got that right. Use those points to take a PK and perhaps cybork on the Big Mek, perhaps a Warboss or Megaboss to add to the punch of the vehicles, and then spend the rest on not just Lootas but Kannons as well. You can get 3 kannons for the price of 4 lootas, and BS3 S8 or S4 small blasts aren't something to look down on

That would make your army stronger. OP, second list is considerably stronger. I'd suggest dropping 3 Lootas and running two units of five. Use the 45 points to get any mixture of Kannons, Lobbas (both in solo units) or PK for Big Mek.
