Space marine biker torsos on regular legs

So I was looking around eBay and found some pretty cool space marine biker torsos, and was wondering, what alterations (if any) would I need to make to use those torsos with regular standing space marine legs. The torso I was looking at was an older pewter white scar's biker torso.

Like the ones here:
http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1850167_99060101404_BitzWhiteScarConversionMain_445x319.jpg

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Not sure with marines, but with a few of my Eldar that I am planning to convert it looks like the legs "cup" and torso "ball" don't match up as closely as I would like. I am guessing I will need to do a little bit of GS smoothing and texture matching.

Good luck man, those do look sick.

It really shouldn't be a problem. Marine torsos are mostly universal since they're pewter the might be slightly off by regardless they should fit. If you want more dynamic pose just use some dynamic looking combat arms.

I was considering doing some conversions for Thunder Wolf Calvary a while back, and tactical marine bodies fit on the riding legs perfectly. So I would guess the same is true of biker torsos on tac legs.

My experience with marines has been that the waist sockets are interchangeable, so you shouldn't have an issue. Not sure when you get into 3rd party manufacturers, but if they were made for Citadel models, then they should be fine.

Space marine biker torsos on regular legs

Unless they've been modified since they first came out, this set has torsos with flat bottoms. That means you need legs with flat tops.
When the space marine bike was released in 2nd ed, the torso and legs joint was flat, unlike the update in 4th? ed which introduced the same ball joint that the tactical marines etc use.

If so, you'll either need to file the top of your legs flat for the torso to sit on them or get a ball burr or large drill and hollow out the base of the torso.

Depending on the age, and if they re-sculpted them, you might have problems. I'm currently assembling some bikers, and was fishing in my bits box and found some of the old biker parts, both the torso and legs. They were flat. I never had the white scars bits, just the normal SM parts (plasma/melta/sarge) so can't speak for them.

Re:Space marine biker torsos on regular legs

Just a bit of an update in case anyone was curious of what this White Scar biker's new role in life is:

1. The torso was a flat bottomed one, so I had to use my dremel to bore out a cavity in the bottom of the torso. (Alternatively as mentioned before, I could have also flattened "ball joint" at the waist on the leg part.)

2. It seems that the proportions are a bit different from the more modern space marine models (this part coming from an older model). Mostly I noticed that the torso is a tiny bit smaller and the arms are thinner. Despite this scale differences I think the model would still fit in well as an assault marine sergeant or a death company marine.

Here's a pic of what it ended up looking like. It only has one arm since I have magnetized the model.

What do you gentleman/ladies think?
