How am I going to model 40-50 Combi-weapons for a SW Wolf Guard list ?

Hi all

I typically run a SW drop pod list, with 60-70 grey hunters in pods. The thought occurred to me last night that without much effort, I could instead run the popular wolf-guard alpha strike list, with approx 42 wolf guard with combi-plasmas. All I need to do is convert 42 bolters into combi-plasmas. Ideally, it would be temporary so I can revert.

I have no idea how I would do this many. I have converted bolters to combi-weapons before, usually in small numbers, and I usually involved kit-bashing a bolter and a plasma/melta gun. I don't have 42 plasma guns (I might have 8-10 max) and I certainly don't want to butcher 40+ of them..

Any recommendations or thoughts ? Has anybody modelled a list like this before, and if so, how did you do it ?

Cheers

Phil

The easiest way that I have done is to take a piece of plastic tubing or rod and cut it into a 1/8" piece. Then carefully remove the bolter barrel and slide it up a bit. Glue the piece of rod under it so it looks like an under-barrel combi.
