I feel the number of scoring units is weak. I don think the Terminators score because they are a retinue here but i cannot afford a full unit. I understand the land raider is a bit out of place. i like the list but i'd wait out on the massacre book release to look at how it compares against salamanders and iron hands to see if you want to reduce some of your melta and stick a few quad lascannon rapiers in.

if you're planning to DS abaddon and justaerin in to have a scrap you may want a few extra to join them to give that punch a bit more weight.

The army is 2000pts + Horus.

I mainly play against either landraider spam blood angels or drop pod, assault troop spam 30k World Eaters.

Since posting on Dakka, I've taken to a 30k specific forum, http://heresy30k.invisionzone.com/, and maximized my list a tad. Tell me what you think.

HQ:
1) Horus
2) "Abby" - Preator in Terminator armor with Combi-bolter and Paragon Sword
3) Terminator Command Squad: 3x Terminators with 2x Combi-Meltas, 2x Hammers, Plasma Blaster, Standard
- Dedicated Transport - Land Raider Phobos with Combi-Melta (Home Brew Note: Dozer blades and Ceramite Plating are free upgrades for land raiders)

Troop:

1) 1x10x Vet Squad with Combi-Plasma, 2x Plasma Guns, Melta-bombs
- Dedicated Transport - Drop Pod (Outflank due to Horus and either Fearless or Furious Charge)

2) 1x10x Vet Squad with Combi-Plasma, 2x Heavy Flamers and Melta-bombs
- Dedicated Transport - Rhino (Outflank due to Horus and either Fearless or Furious Charge)

3) 1x5x Support Squad with 5x Melta Guns
- Dedicated Transport - Drop Pod (Outflank due to Horus)

Fast:

3x1x Land Speeders with Heavy Bolter and Havoc Launcher

Heavy:

1x6x Heavy Support Squad with 6x Missile Launchers and Aug. Scanner

Strategy: I'm thinking Horus goes in a Drop pod with the Support squad and drops on a turn of my choosing due to Horus special rules for reserves. The 'plasma vet' squad drops on turn one because they have a farther threat range. The 'flamer vets' outflank or set up as necessary in their rhino. The LR is full of terminators and the Preator. Special rules out the whazoo - this army is incredibly flexible. Still not truly "maximized" but it's good i think.

Note: I do not yet have Massacre but I hear the new rules for SoH will make them even more flexible. I would love to hear about it from people who own Massacre.
