I think they could also be used as an allied detachment for a sporting opponent. But that situation being as unlikely as it is, I may just flesh them out into a second daemons army, or even better, allies for a CSM army.

So my question is this: Situated with an army of Nurgle Daemons, and only a unit of Pink Horrors and a Herald of Tzeentch to found the other side of the army with, I'm thinking about what traitor legion would be the best fluff-wise.

I'm looking for flexibility. So probably not Thousand Sons... although I won't lock that door just yet. Maybe a dedicated Thousand Sons player can win me over with a passionate argument. At the moment my mind is on Black Legion, now that their new expansion has come out.

Keep in mind none of this is set in stone. Word Bearers are the most passionate about daemons, seeing them as enlightened beings. Plus they are the most horrible, vile and evil legion going around, as they are the ones who caused the Horus Heresy. Im not sure word bearers fight each other. They are still fairly unified as a legion with several semi autonomus hosts running about.

Plenty of intrigue and internal power struggles inside the XVII Legion.
