An interesting article, but there is a picture in it of a frog that got launched by rocket blast, and while I am sure that created a post-frog existence, it conjures all sorts of cartoon images and sound effects and I can't stop giggling.

No. Southeastern US.

It's not so much that it "rains frogs" but we get the occasional tornado that sucks them up and you end up with the odd frog/toad on a roof.
